The Municipality of Meteora is preparing to host a unique sporting event. This is the 12th Meteora Sprint Rally which is expected to take place on the weekend of November 2 and 3, 2024 in Meteora.

This particular race revives part of the old Special Route of the Acropolis Rally in Meteora and is part of the Asphalt Rally Cup of Northern Greece.

The race is organized by the Municipality of Meteora and the Car Club of Trikala, with the support of the Region of Thessaly.

On Saturday, November 2, according to the municipal authority, the technical and administrative control will take place, while at 8:30 in the evening of the same day, the presentation of the crews that will take part in the race will take place in the Central Square of Riga Feraou of Kalambaka.

On Sunday, November 3 at 10 am, the launch of the Special Meteor Route will take place.

In his statement to the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency, the mayor of Meteora Lefteris Avramopoulos emphasizes: “We are ready to host another big sporting event. In collaboration with the Trikala Automobile Club and with the support of the Region of Thessaly, the 12th Rally Sprint of Meteora is coming to our region. It is a historic route that revives the Special Route of the Acropolis Rally and is expected to provide unique moments and experiences to fans of motor sports. We continue to invest in events and events that create extroversion and bring our region into focus.”
