The Agency calls on consumers who have purchased the BALLY NUTS product not to consume it
Dried apricots are recalled from the market by the Unified Food Control Agency (EFET).
In particular, the Agency and in particular the Regional Administration of Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, during inspections, carried out a sampling of food with data “Selected nuts BALLY NUTS DRIED APRICOT ORIGIN: TURKEY” in a closed plastic package of 250 g, with a packaging date of 28/08/2024 and preferably consumed before: 28/08/2025, packaged by the company, BALLY NUTS K.M. BALAMOUTSOS I.K.E., with headquarters at Faliro 32, P.O. Box 185 42, in Piraeus.
The product was examined by the Chemical Service of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace, Kavala Chemical Service Department of the State General Chemistry, AADE, and was found to contain sulfur dioxide in a concentration exceeding the maximum permissible limit.
EFET demanded the immediate recall/withdrawal of the entire specific batch of the above product, while the relevant controls are already underway. At the same time, it calls on consumers, who have purchased the product, not to consume it.
