Question to the Minister of Environment & Energy, Mr. Theodoros Skylakakis, about the operation of the Energy Exchange, testified by Nikitas Kaklamanis.

More specifically, Mr. Kaklamanis asks the competent minister:

  1. What actions will it take to revise the target model and streamline the operation of the Energy Exchange, in order to cure the distortions that distort competition and burden consumers with exorbitant prices?
  2. What actions will it take to limit the percentage of energy market availability from the Energy Exchange and provide incentives for increasing the share of forward contracts in the market, in accordance with the Commission’s guidelines for the electricity market?
  3. What actions will he take for the realistic revision of the country’s delignitization program and at the same time reducing the country’s dependence on natural gas?
  4. What actions will he take to ensure the public and public utility character of PPC, which has essentially been lost in the last four years?
