The “Dark Decade 1964-1974”, the new major documentary series by Alexis Papachelas, which was warmly received by the audience and critics at its premiere, continues tonight at 21.00, on SKAI TV with the 2nd episode and illuminates the unknown behind the scenes of the most troubled decade of our modern history.

Episode 2: Diversion Plan
In the second episode of the series entitled “Diversion Project” we are transported to the Greece of Apostasy and major political crises. Governments are formed and dissolved within a few days, violent demonstrations break out in the streets of Athens, the dynamic of Andreas Papandreou causes concern in the Army, the Palace and the Americans. In Cyprus, the military is promoting the idea of ​​union with Greece. The perfect storm is brewing for a group of conspirators in the Army to set in motion a plan to overthrow the Republic.
Who pressured the Greek MPs to influence their vote? What was the Shield case? What did the dictator George Papadopoulos have to do with the CIA? How many coup plans were simultaneously in the works? How did the conspirators manage to escape conscription? Who knew about Papadopoulos and his team? How could the April 21st coup be blown up before it even started?
The protagonists of the dramatic events describe the political instability that plunged Greece into a prolonged crisis and talk about the crucial days leading up to the April 21st coup.
