A revealing and highly interesting episode of the documentary series “Dark Decade 1964-1974”, we watched yesterday, Monday, October 28, at SKAI TV.

THE Alexis Papachelas and his associates at 3rd episodetitled “April 21st”we were transported to the fateful day of the coup that led to the junta of the colonels. One of the darkest days in modern Greek history, “came alive” again on the SKAI TV screen, with unknown audio documents, revealing documents and testimonies of people who tell how everyone experienced those critical hours.

Among other things, in episode 3:

• An audio document, for the first time in public, with the voice of the then director of “Kathimerini” Eleni Vlachos, who describes what she saw and heard in the early hours of April 21.

• Konstantinos Mitsotakis and Leonidas Kyrkos talk about their arrest.

• “Either tell us where your father is or we kill you.”

• Konstantinos Mitsotakis and Andreas Papandreou talk about their transfer and stay in Pikermi.

• The coup plotters meet King Constantine.

• “If you blew, at noon on April 21, we would leave.”

• Former King Constantine explains why he swore off the dictatorial Kollia government.

• Mikis Theodorakis remembers his arrest and transfer to Bouboulinas.

The third episode, but also the first two are available on HYBRID either at www.skai.gr/tv and those who have a hybrid TV (activated red button on their remote control) but also online visitors can watch them, at the time they wish.
