Traffic arrangements for LED lighting installation works and repainting of the Platanos tunnels
In the context of the installation of LED type lighting in the T15 tunnels (Platanos), as well as their repainting, starting from Wednesday, October 30, 2024it is required to alternately block the branches (directions) of the tunnels. The necessary traffic regulations will be applied sequentially in the following phases:
Phase I – Blocking the branch to Patras
Blocking the branch to Patras and diverting traffic to the secondary side road of the tunnels, located north of them, according to the following diagram. Traffic to Athens is not affected.
Phase II – Blocking of the branch to Athens
Blocking the branch to Athens and diversion of traffic in the traffic branch to Patras through the Emergency Openings (A.E.A.) from X.Th. 155.00 until X.Th. 152.30, according to the following diagram. The diversion of traffic towards Patras is maintained according to Phase A’.
Phase III – Blocking of branches to Patras and Athens
Blocking of both traffic branches towards Patras and towards Athens and diversion of both outside the Mavra Litharia tunnels, according to the following diagram.
The necessary long-term markings will be implemented from Wednesday 30 October 2024 to no later than Saturday 14 December 2024. Phases A and B are estimated to take approximately 3 weeks each, with Phase C approximately 1-2 days. It is noted that upon completion of each Phase of work, the next Phase will begin immediately.
