With the participation of 3,217 candidates, the pan-Hellenic exams for obtaining the Certificate of Knowledge Proficiency for Naturalization (PEGP), which is necessary for the acquisition of Greek citizenship by allogeneic foreigners, were completed without problems on Sunday, November 3.
The exams were organized by the General Secretariat of Citizenship of the Ministry of the Interior in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Religion and Sports, in 55 examination centers throughout the territory, of which 5 are special centers for candidates over 62 years of age as well as those with disabilities to participate in a written test due to learning difficulties or a disability of more than 67%.
It should be noted that for the first time the pilot program for checking mobile phones and other electronic devices was successfully implemented, with the aim of ensuring the transparency and reliability of the examination process. The use of the program was carried out in selected centers with the aim of extending it to all examination centers in the next phase.
