Check in 3 brothels in areas of Athens and Peristeri yesterday, as part of an operation to identify victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, police officers of the Sub-Directorate for Combating Trafficking and Trafficking in People and Goods of the Organized Crime Directorate checked 3 brothels.
According to ELAS, the specific shelters, of which the a “hidden” (“massage”), had been repeatedly sealed by decisions of the competent municipalities and consequently the people employed in them were arrested for violating the seals set by the Authority.
In particular, a case file was filed against 11 women, while from the investigations carried out in these places, in total, the sum of 896 euros was found and confiscated.
At the same time, the competent municipalities were informed, in order to proceed with the resealing of brothels.
The arrested women were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office, while two of them will be subject to administrative deportation proceedings, due to the lack of legal documents to stay in the country.
