The developments in the thriller with the five dead babies in Ilia and Achaia are rapid, as depositions from key persons began yesterdayat the Homicide Department of the General Police Directorate of Attica.

The first witness found on the 11th floor of GADA was the mother of Panagiotakis, the of a baby who “passed away” last August.

According to Patrisnews.gr, her testimony was a marathon and she gave the authorities crucial information for the course of the investigations. She is the first woman to express doubts about her role Irene Mourtzoukou on the death of her child but later revoked them. From one o’clock in the afternoon until late at night, Panagiotis’ mother talked about everything to the officers of the Homicide Department.

She described how she found the child at noon on August 5th in a bad condition, while she left him for “two minutes alone” with Irini Mourtzoukou, but also how her relationship with the 24-year-old was. Throughout her testimony, according to Police sources, she was in a strong emotional state.

Panagiotakis’ mother testified to the authorities for the third time. In her first testimony, at the Amaliada Hospital, on the day of the child’s death, she left suspicions about Irini Mourtzoukou, but without mentioning specific facts. After a while, however, he retracted.
