Ella Fitz, a restaurant by chefs Salvatore Loi and Paulo Barros, closed its doors last Sunday (10) on Rua dos Pinheiros. The property already has a new tenant in operation: it is another Modern Mamma Osteria, run by the duo.
The house, named after singer Ella Fitzgerald, had been opened in April last year. The kitchen combined Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, headed by Ana Cremonezi.

In its place comes the Modern Mamma, or Moma, room in the capital of São Paulo. The head office is in Itaim Bibi and the house gained a unit in Baixo Pinheiros and, a few months ago, another on the corner of Rua Oscar Freire, in Jardins.
The Italian restaurant has competitive seats and was chosen by São Paulo residents as one of the best in the city, in a Datafolha survey for the special The Best of São Paulo Gastronomy.
The menu at the new restaurant is the same as at other locations. There are Loi classics, such as the veal lasagneta (R$98), served horizontally with black truffle sauce and grana padano cream.
The drinks menu was recently renewed by bartender Márcia Martins and features five signature drinks, such as the Borbone (R$48), which contains bourbon, white vermouth, Aperol, rum and lapsang souchong tea.
