The teen romance drama series aired in the 2004-2005 television season and was very popular. The love affair between the Muslim Murat (Memos Begnis) in Komotini and the student Christina (Thalia Matika) – and between them the charming medical student, Christina’s relationship from Athens (Yiannis Tsimitselis) – exceeded 45% in television viewing[1]while in the last episode it reached an impressive 62.4%.
Costas Makedonas performed the title song, making it a hit.
Among his last dramatic television jobs was the Red Riverbased on the historical novel of the same name by Haris Tsirkinidis, with real events surrounding the genocide of Pontic Hellenism. The series – one of the most expensive productions in the history of Greek television – was a great success. The first episode saw a viewership of 29.8% overall and the following episodes went up even more.
