The mechanism is ready Civil Protection of Region on the occasion of the meteorological forecasts for worsening of bad weather in the evening, with emphasis on its northern and eastern suburbs Attica.
At the same time, the Region recommends to drivers moving on the roads in the NE of Attica, during the hours of intense weather phenomena to avoid pointless movements and be equipped with anti-skid chains.
It is pointed out that the Region has 105 special construction machineslocated at key points to intervene where required, while salt has been distributed to 10 municipalities, in order to meet their needs.
At the same time, the governor has called on the mayors to have all the Civil Protection services in increased readiness aiming at the immediate solution of any problems, also noting that “our entire mechanism is on alert and ready to deal immediately and effectively with any problems that arise but also to assist any municipality in need.”
