The Othello Syndrome, his paranoid jealousy, led a man after 37 years of marriage to Autoforo, as he had an obsessive idea that his wife was having an affair with a third person without being able to prove it and made her life a torture.

Yesterday, the couple appeared before the Autonomous Single-Member Criminal Court of Volos, following a complaint by the wife. As she claimed in court, her husband is psychotic with her and often creates problems, while constantly accusing her of having an extramarital affair.

According to her testimony, her husband searched the laundry basket of her clothes to find another man’s genetic material in order to prove his suspicions.

As the defendant’s wife reported, while she was looking for the clothes, he shouted to her that “you will see what will happen to you and him”.

He himself claimed before the court that he saw stains on his wife’s clothes and this was the reason that started the fight, which ended in Autoforos.

According to gegonota.gr, she told the court that her husband is unpredictable in his reactions but she does not want to send him to prison and the couple will be taken to criminal mediation.
