The Prime Minister pointed out that Greece has added many weapons to its quiver, such as new treatments, reliable screening tests and targeted information
“This year’s International Day AIDS finds Greece even more ready to contribute to the universal goal of ending this threat by 2030″ said the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakiss, in a post on Facebook on the occasion of today. Mr. Mitsotakis pointed out that our country has added many weapons to its quiver, such as new treatments, reliable screening tests and, above all, targeted information.
“Soon, in fact, another health shield will be the “National Action Plan for HIV” which is already being drawn up. A complete Road Map, so that our country can coordinate with the latest directions of the World Health Organization. In diagnosis, care, follow-up and, at the same time, in prevention” said the Prime Minister and concluded by underlining:
“We still have a way to go. We will, however, go through it victoriously. With faith in public health, but also in human rights. Caring for those who are sick. And keeping those who are carriers of the virus away from any stigmatization or isolation. It is for all of us a duty of solidarity, humanity and civilization”.
