Kostas Georgousopoulos was born in Lamia in 1937. He studied at the Philosophy School of the University of Athens, at the Department of History – Archaeology, and theater at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory with his teachers Dimitris Rodiris and Yannis Sideris.

In 1978, following the assignment of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, he edited the book “Dramatic poetry“, which for 25 years was taught in Greek High Schools.

He was a founding member of the Center for Research and Practical Applications of Ancient Greek Drama “Desmi” and chairman of its Board of Directors.
