Professional opportunities for repatriating Greeks are offered by the first “Career Day” abroad, organized by the Public Employment Service (DYPA) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event, which will take place on Saturday 14 December 2024, from 10:00 to 18:00, at the Kö59 Hotel in Dusseldorf, acts as a channel of communication between Greeks looking for quality jobs and the opportunity to return to Greece and of businesses operating in our country.
With the participation of more than 49 leading companies, with over 1,200 jobs available in cutting-edge specialties, the “Career Day” is an opportunity for participants to submit their CV, get in direct contact with business representatives, without a pre-arranged appointment, to discuss with employers the possibilities of cooperation and to examine the prospects that open up for their professional development in Greece.
As announced, participating businesses come from a wide range of industries, including technology, IT, tourism, manufacturing, telecommunications and renewable energy, while specialties include, but are not limited to, engineers, data analysts, healthcare professionals, marketing and sales executives, as well as economists and IT specialists.

Speaking to APE-MBE, the DYPA Commander, Spyros Protopsaltisstates that the attraction of diaspora Greeks is a strategic choice for the development of the country.
“By creating an integrated support framework, we can utilize the significant potential of scientists and professionals living abroad, pass on their know-how and create a more competitive and sustainable future for Greece,” says Mr. Lead singer and underlines that, on the basis of this philosophy, the “Career Days”, an institution that has been warmly “embraced” by local communities, as well as businesses, “go” outside the borders for the first time and are transferred to Dusseldorf, Germany, a city that gathers the largest population of diaspora Greeks.
As he points out, “this is an event held in collaboration with the Ministries of Labor and Foreign Affairs, with the aim of approaching and informing Greeks abroad about job opportunities in Greece. With the participation of 49 leading companies, active in different sectors in Greece, the event offers 1,200 jobs in cutting-edge specialties”.
