The six people who were arrested on Thursday in Malesina and Theologos, by police officers of the Lamia Crime Investigation and Prosecution Sub-Directorate, were given a deadline to apologize today (12/13) at noon by the Lamia investigator.

All of them are facing serious charges such as the creation of a criminal organization active in drug trafficking (cocaine and cannabis), at least since last May. Five of them are also accused of violating the law on weapons and one also of violating the legislation on the protection of antiquities and cultural heritage in general.

Multi-month follow-up

The arrests were made following a months-long investigation by the police who proceeded to arrest six people, specifically three men, the two Greeks aged 32 and 25 and the other Albanian aged 28 and three women aged 56, 25 and 43. The first two are related to the 32-year-old.

The file also includes a seventh person, a 26-year-old Greek, who is accused of being a member of the criminal group until last July and was not arrested.

The “egg” and the “colors”

According to the report of LamiaReport, those arrested took special precautions in their daily conversations where they used code names for the amount of drugs they would traffic.

Thus, depending on the monetary value of the transaction, they were named “red”, “blue”, “orange” or “green”, but also coded as “egg” or “spare”. In addition, the 32-year-old and the 28-year-old had “rottweiler” guard dogs in their homes to keep away “unwanted” visitors.

From the searches of the police in the homes of the arrested, significant quantities of drugs, cocaine, cannabis (processed and raw), cannabis seedling, cultivated with the hydroponic method, ecstasy pills, Xanax, precision scales, many and various weapons, pistols, knives and swords, cartridges, sum of money, but also five cars and two machines, as means of facilitating their illegal activity.

The women – accused of the above, were given a deadline to apologize for Sunday (15/12) at noon, while the next morning all three men will be taken to the Investigator.

Until then, everyone remains in custody at the police station.
