The Region of Attica informs the citizens that due to the works of the Natural Gas Distribution Network Operator, a damage to the power supply cable of the traffic lights on Vasilissa Sofia and in particular at the height of the intersection of the avenue in question with Papadiamantopoulou Street (downstream). Workshops from the Region of Attica that immediately went to the scene, found that the replacement of the cable requires cutting the road surface.
In order to carry out the necessary works, the necessary road occupation permits were initiated, in consultation with the Traffic. The relevant restoration works were planned for tomorrow, Saturday, December 14, 2024and will last from morning to late afternoon. During the works, there will be a partial occupation of traffic lanes, in order to carry out the cross section of the roadway from the sidewalk to the central island of Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, in the direction of Athens. Vehicular traffic will be conducted from the remaining available traffic lanes, depending on the progress of the works and in accordance with the instructions of the Traffic.
The Region of Attica asks for citizens’ understanding of the temporary inconvenience and recommends special caution when passing through the area. We ask drivers to comply with the markings and instructions of the competent Authorities for safe and orderly traffic. Thanks for the cooperation.
