Unbelievable things passengers forget on subway lines – How a man lost his mother-in-law
All kinds of objects – and not – exist in the lost of the Metro of Attica. From wigs, a P, hairpins, pins and a… mother-in-law were found unclaimed.
According to the report of SKAI and the show “Live You”, 40 objects are lost every day in the subway, with many of them being strange.
The head of STASY passenger service, Charalambos Vlahos, describes some stories that have remained unforgettable to him:
“Anything can be lost, from as simple as a pin, to even a person. I can’t forget how a few years ago a passenger called us and said I forgot my mother-in-law on the tram We tried to reassure him, of course the woman was found. A bag of lobsters had been found on a dock at Syntagma. The station-masters noticed that the people were going backwards, as if afraid of something, and when they went down they found that two large lobsters, which a passenger had forgotten there, had come out of the bag and were traveling on the platform. A rubber band had been found on a handle and was handed over to us. The next day an old man came and looked for her. The old man had told me that he had quit smoking and to get rid of his nervousness, he played with the rosary. But since he didn’t have the rosary that day, he played with the masala. Something fell from his pants, he bent down to pick it up and forgot about her.”
