A 52-year-old Greek worker was found dead in a beach hotel in Almyros. The 52-year-old suffered stab wounds. The victim was doing tiling work at the hotel, which is currently closed. As the perpetrator, a 35-year-old Turkish national was arrested, who was carrying out construction work at the site, as he was cooperating with the 52-year-old, who had a construction work crew.

According to information from messinialive.gr, the motive of the crime is financial, while there was a fight between the perpetrator and the victim. In fact, the 35-year-old allegedly confessed his act to the police, when they later located him and arrested him.

The victim brought multiple stab wounds to the neck, back, arm and leg. As soon as the EKAV ambulance picked him up, the Police were notified. The 52-year-old, due to the multiple wounds he had and the bleeding, ended up during his transfer to the Kalamata Hospital.

The causes of the crime and the exact circumstances under which it was committed are being investigated by the Kalamata Crime Prosecution and Investigation Sub-Directorate, while a necropsy has also been ordered.

A case file was filed against the 35-year-old intentional homicide and is expected to be taken to the Kalamata Prosecutor.

The 52-year-old patient was taken to Kalamata General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A knife was found and confiscated in the possession of the 35-year-old foreigner.

The arrested person will be brought to court, while a preliminary investigation is carried out by the Kalamata Prosecution and Crime Investigation Sub-Directorate.
