In case of emergency, the Municipality of Athens invites citizens to contact the 24-hour telephone line 1595
The Municipality of Athens will be on a 24-hour alert for today, Saturday, December 28, 2024, due to the difficult weather conditions. Specifically:
- The interdisciplinary street work team of the Reception and Solidarity Center of the Municipality of Athens (K.Y.A.D.A.) monitors the streets of the city 24 hours a day, as well as the groves and bushes, offering meals, drinks and blankets to the homeless our fellow citizens and informs them about the open structures in which they can be accommodated and receive appropriate care.
- The Dormitory and the Day Center of the Multipurpose Homeless Center of the Municipality of Athens (Acharnon & Liosion), remain open to welcome anyone in need.
- Also, for the management of special incidents, the Municipality of Athens cooperates with EKAB, OKANA, and other civil society organizations.
- Since last night at 20.00 the Friendship Club in Ag. Eleftherio (372 Acharnon, 210 2012334). The space is heated and breakfast, full meal, personal hygiene items and drinks are provided.
