Christos Mastoras and the “Bees” stirred up the 15,000 thousand citizens who flooded the Field of Mars.
With a brilliant musical extravaganza, with Christos Mastoras and the “Bees” on stage, the New Year was welcomed in the Christmas Village of the Attica Region in the Field of Areos.
More than 15,000 citizens from every corner of Lekanopedi flooded the largest metropolitan park of Athens, to enjoy a unique festive concert with the most beloved band of the Greek music scene, which enchanted the audience with its rhythm and incredible energy.
A few minutes before the expiration of 2024, the music stopped and from the giant screen of the main stage there was a live connection with the Constitution for the established countdown for the welcome of the new year by the Municipality of Athens, with the Regional Governor of Attica Nikos Hardalia wishing good luck year, full of health and smile for every day of the new year.
The sky lit up at the “official first” of 2025
Bright and happy were the first moments of 2025 in the Christmas Village of the Attica Region, as a unique drone show lit up the Attic sky above the Field of Mars, offering a wonderful spectacle to welcome the new year, with dozens of small drones forming in the night canvas the most recognizable traditional symbols of the New Year.
Eyes turned up, mobile phones pointed to the sky and began to record the “protagonists” of the celebration: the Christmas tree, the reindeer, the snowman, the decorated house, but also 2024, which was gradually starting to fade to hand over the baton at 2025 and the beloved – young and old – Santa Claus, before starting his journey to distribute gifts and joy to every home. The show closed with the presentation of the logo of the Region of Attica, which has the initiative for the operation of the Village.
At the same time, those who were in the area had the opportunity to enjoy an impressive light show, which lit up the park in every corner.
The festive evening was presented by Themis Georgantas, while Zaf and ONEMANSHOW also appeared on stage.
It is worth noting that the celebratory concert also had a charitable character, as Christos Mastoras and the “Bees” participated in a non-profit way, offering their fee to structures in the Region for the needs of vulnerable groups.
The big outdoor party continued with unabated merriment into the wee hours of the new year, with music from MAD RADIO 106.2 keeping the festive mood high.
Celebrations at the Constitution
A crowd of people gathered early in Syntagma Square to enjoy the musical theater spectacle prepared by Phoivos Delivorias entitled “The Terrace of Time”, an original phantasmagoric show directed by Angelos Triantaphyllos.
With him were Natassa Bofiliou, Martha Frindzila and Thanasis Alevras. The event was opened musically by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens.
“Happy birthday to everyone! From Syntagma Square, let’s all send a message of faith. Belief in the right to make life better in Athens, in every city, in every village, throughout the country. We can improve our lives. We can make a difference. And let’s welcome 2025 with one wish: With humanity, with truth, with stubbornness and strength, let’s make 2025 our year. The year that will bring us closer to our dreams”, was the message of the mayor of Athens Haris Doukas, who took the stage shortly before the countdown to the arrival of 2025.
As soon as the clock struck 12 fireworks lit up the sky but this time quietly out of respect for people vulnerable to loud sounds, animals and the environment. This was followed by an aerial show by hundreds of drones that flew over the heart of the city.
