After the incident that occurred in the early hours of the New Year in an entertainment center in his area Sweetlywhen a 14-year-old girl was taken to Kalamata General Hospital, after consuming a large amount alcoholand the also serious incident which occurred in a club on the avenue Vouliagmeniwhen a 16-year-old was taken to Hippocrates hospital in a semi-suspicious state after drinking, two more cases of acute intoxication of minors were recorded in Janina during the first hours of the new year.

A 14-year-old boy is being treated at the Children’s Intensive Care Unit in Patras, who was admitted by his father to the University Hospital of Ioannina in a semi-comatose state. Due to the seriousness of his condition, it was deemed necessary to intubate him and transport him. Police investigations showed that the minor had consumed alcohol and energy drinks in the presence of his father, who was arrested for “endangering a minor”.

In the second incident, a 15-year-old consumed alcohol in an entertainment venue, requiring immediate medical attention. The owner of the store was arrested, accused of selling alcohol to a minor.

The two arrested were brought before the magistrate today at noon. The 14-year-old’s father was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for three years. The trial of the store owner was suspended and will continue at a later date, while she was released after her detention was lifted.
