Two people were arrested in Kilkis for shoplifting and theft. In particular, the two men yesterday morning, with the help of their accomplice, broke the glass entrance of the store and removed a cash register containing – according to the owner’s statement – the sum of 3,500 euros, as well as various tobacco products with a total value of approx. 497 euros.

After coordinated actions by the police, the two individuals were located a few hours later – specifically yesterday afternoon in areas of Thessaloniki where they were arrested. In searches carried out in their houses, among other things, 12 packs of cigarettes and the sum of 335 euros were found and confiscated. Also after a search of the vehicle they were using, a small amount of cannabis, a pair of gloves, a flashlight and a full-face hood were found and confiscated.

The investigation of the police continues both for the identification of the details of their unknown accomplice, as well as for the possible participation of those arrested in other similar criminal acts.

Those arrested, with the case file filed against them, were taken to the Kilkis First Instance Prosecutor, who referred them to the Investigator.
