A first for Ford in Greece in 2024, with the rugged Ranger being the company’s best-selling commercial vehicle
All commercial vehicles in the Ford range have consistently and with unique success met the high expectations and demands of the industry, offering all customers the most reliable, efficient and advanced solutions that stand the test of time and support any activity at any time.
For 2024, both professional drivers and fleet managers confirmed in practice for another year the high potential of the brand’s commercial vehicles by bringing Ford to the top position of LCV vehicle sales in the entire European market for the 10th year in a row.
In addition, last year Ford registered a total of 2234 sales in Greece, thus obtaining a share of 22.6% and the 1st place in the LCV category, proving once again the excellent dynamics that the brand’s commercial vehicles have always demonstrated in the country us.
Ford Ranger: Ford’s best-selling professional model in Greece in 2024
The tough Ranger remains the protagonist and at the same time the best-selling model of the Ford range in the category of light commercial vehicles, taking advantage, among other things, of the presence of the “fearless” Ranger Raptor, traditionally signed by Ford Performance and powered by the powerful 3.0 V6 gasoline engine 292PS EcoBoost, but also a total of eight versions, three engine options and three different bodies.
Ford’s tireless pick-up is also available to customers for the first time with a Plug-In Hybrid powertrain, which combines a 2.3L EcoBoost engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined 281PS and 690Nm of torque – more than any other production Ranger. The new Ford Ranger PHEV is also supported by an 11.8kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be charged from an external source, offering an electric range of up to 45km on a full charge. At the same time customers can still carry a payload of up to 1 ton, tow up to 3,500 kg and benefit from the off-road capabilities offered by the e-4WD system, the dual-range transfer case (short/long relationships) and the rear differential lock.
Drivers can choose when and how to use the battery power, which is installed in specially designed chassis rails, using one of the Auto EV, EV Now, EV Later and EV Charge modes. Customers can also benefit from the regenerative braking provided by the electric motor and additional torque when towing, carrying heavier loads and driving in difficult off-road conditions such as driving on rocky surfaces and steep roads.
The tireless Transit Custom
The Ford Transit Custom has won the trust of millions of drivers by offering the possibility of transporting two or three passengers in its spacious cabin, ensuring at the same time maximum practicality, thanks to the single or double side sliding doors and the two rear doors or the one-piece opening upwards. With enviable transport capabilities, the new Transit Custom offers what businesses need today: a maximum payload of up to 1,235 kg, a maximum load space of 5.8-6.8 m3 and a maximum internal load length of 3,004 mm.
Available as a pure electric with an output of 136 or 218 hp, it is powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 64 kWh that ensures a range of up to 337 km on a single charge. Ford’s Transit Custom is also offered with a Plug-In Hybrid drive system with 232 horsepower, an 11.8 kWh battery and a pure electric range of up to 57 km. In addition to the electrified drive systems, the van model is also available with an efficient range of 2.0L EcoBlue diesel engines, with a 6-speed transmission and an output of 136 or 150 hp, an 8-speed automatic transmission with 170 hp or even in all-wheel drive AWD versions in combined with an automatic transmission system.
The compact Transit Courier
Aimed at maximizing productivity for small or large businesses, the new Transit Courier has been completely redesigned resulting in a larger and more flexible load space with 25% more capacity (up to 2.91 m3), the ability to carry two Euro pallets and increased payload up to 735 kg. The compact LCV in addition to 2 familiar internal combustion engines, introduces a purely electric version, with a 100kW electric motor, 290Nm torque and 100kW DC fast charging capability.
The durable Transit Connect
Transit Connect is designed to serve a wide range of requirements. The new panel van version’s cargo area design offers an increased capacity of 3.1 m3 or 3.7 m3, depending on the choice of wheelbase length. Maximum payload is 820kg, while a competitive towing capacity of 1,500kg allows customers to tow a wide variety of equipment that supports their businesses.
At the top of the all-new Transit Connect powertrain range is a Plug–In Hybrid powertrain, which combines a 1.5L EcoBoost petrol engine with a 19.6kWh high-voltage battery and an electric motor that deliver a combined 150PS and 350Nm of torque – the system drive is supported by a 6-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. The maximum payload of the model is 770 kg and the maximum trailer weight is 1,400 kg. The Transit Courier range also includes 2.0L diesel versions, delivering 102PS or 122PS.
The versatile Transit
The renewed Transit is now even more durable, more connected and more capable than ever, offering its customers a variety of versions and variants that are able to ensure a maximum load space of up to 15.1 m3, a maximum payload of up to 2,200 kg and maximum load length up to 4,256 mm. Designed for flexibility and maximum efficiency, the Transit is available with a choice of diesel engines from the EcoBlue family or with all-electric powertrains. The 2.0L diesel engine is offered with a horsepower of 130PS and 165PS, with a maximum torque of 360Nm and 390Nm and a choice of drive on the front (FWD), rear (RWD) or all four wheels (AWD), The purely electric E-Transit version stands out for its top range that reaches up to 402 km on a single charge. The new E-Transit is offered with batteries with a useful capacity of 67 kWh (Standard Range) or 89 kWh (Extended Range), both with rear-wheel drive and electric motor output of 184PS or 269PS.
