With the motto #we Remember, the International Campaign for the Holocaust Memory, the facade of the House of Representatives was illuminated today.

As stated in a related announcement by the House, the illumination takes place the day before the International Holocaust Day, as the January 27th has been established.

With this illumination, “the Greek Parliament sends a public loud message of memory to oblivion, seeking to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive and publicly and vigorously declaring its opposition to anti -Semitism and all forms of hatred and racism.”

As stated in the same announcement, “The #We Remember started on the initiative of the World Jewish Conference (WJC)” as a social media awareness campaign in memory of the millions of victims of Nazism exterminated in the name of hatred and fanaticism ” , as noted by the Central Israeli Council of Greece.

From 2022 iconic buildings around the world, they have been illuminated by #we Remember, while international celebrities, heads of state, religious leaders, art people, letters and sports participate each year by posting their photo with the slogan #We Remember. “
