Papaloukas for Tempi: “I’m afraid we have forgotten to care more about our neighbor and show love”

by

From Sunday morning (26/01), thousands of people in many cities in Greece, but also in many parts of the overseas, took to the streets after calling by the Association of Relative victims of Tempi, wanting to send a loud message of justice about the victims of the tragedy.

Seeing these pictures, the legend of Greek basketball, Theodoris Papaloukasexpressed his thoughts through social media, stating, among other things, that We have forgotten as humans to care about our neighbor and show our love.

In detail his message:

“Because of the commitments I am outside Greece. Seeing a girl who was talking about the loss of her own people a while ago, I thought that if I were in her place, I don’t know if I would find the strength to get out of my house. I cannot imagine the pain, sadness and weight that those who lived this tragedy are close.

But I see how important it is and for themselves to be next to these people. To share their pain, to show that they are not alone. There are no words that can soothe such a loss specifically for a parent, but solidarity, understanding and embrace may give some light to their darkest moments.

I am afraid that we have forgotten to care more about our neighbor and show love every day, no matter how “busy” our daily lives.

A dad .. “.
