In the same video, the voices of a 22-year-old are heard, who was also injured by the alleged perpetrator and according to the media, he was his partner, after the end of his marriage with the unfortunate Irini.
According to what became known, the murder was committed last Saturday afternoon, around 19:00, when the 34-year-old ex-partner of the unfortunate Irene started stabbing her and the 22-year-old, who was also at home at that time.
The 34-year-old allegedly stabbed Irene to death, seriously injured the 22-year-old girl and then tried to commit suicide with the same lethal means.
According to the American media, the neighbors who heard the two women calling for help alerted the police, who arrived in a few minutes together with first aid men, finding all three, the two girls and the perpetrator covered in blood.
Immediately, 29-year-old Irini, the 22-year-old girl and the 34-year-old were transported to the hospital of the area, where the unfortunate expatriate ended the next day -Sunday- the 22-year-old is still fighting for her life, while the 34-year-old ended up as a result of his injuries. to himself, on Tuesday 15 March.
Until now, the motives of the savage murder of 29-year-old Irini, who was also the only child of the Spantopanagos family, have not been known.
As the mayor of Tilos, Maria Kamma, told “Demokratiki”, the local community is shocked by the brutal murder of Irini Spantopanagou, whom the residents remember as a small child visiting the island regularly with her parents.
Her mother, Kalliopi Giannaki, maintains close ties with the island since both her parents come from Tilos. The grandfather of the unfortunate Irini and father of Kalliopi’s mother, Sophocles Giannakis comes from Megalo Chorio of Tilos as well as his wife and Irini’s grandmother, Dorothea Koufomanolis.
