Economou for Tsipras: For two minutes of publicity he utters lies and nonsense

Government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou launched a fierce attack on Alexis Tsipras on the occasion what the president of SYRIZA said after the government announcements for measures against accuracy.

Mr. Economou stated:

“Mr. Tsipras is the only politician in Europe who, in public speech and for the sake of his micro-political expediencies, denies the obvious: that the successive crises in energy and consumer goods are global and imported to Greece, aggravated by the war in Ukraine.

What all the citizens understand, the president of SYRIZA refuses to admit, thinking that this will make it easy for the opposition.

The Prime Minister is struggling to provide structural answers to crises at both European and national level.

As a government of responsibility, we have warned of the crisis in time and have implemented a coherent plan to support society and business since last autumn.

At the same time all this time not only have we not added any new taxes but we continue to reduce taxes on a permanent basis for everyone. The government is trying to provide all possible assistance to the citizens, with an emphasis on those most in need, and businesses, while taking care not to disrupt public finances.

Greek men and women are not Lotus Eaters and they remember the consequences of a possible fiscal derailment and that those who today are bidding on promises are those who are shouting in the squares tomorrow. Mr. Tsipras, for two minutes of publicity, utters lies and nonsense, which have nothing to do with reality and are not applied anywhere.

He does not say how much his promises cost or where they will be financed.

So instead of governing in terms of spectacle, let him answer us: will he vote for the 1.2 billion measures, measures with which the total support is close to the 4 billion, which are addressed to 3.2 million of our fellow citizens? ».
