The reactions from the Akritis Municipality of Filiates and the Prefecture of Thesprotia are scaled over the impending closure of the camp, the only one in the area.

Following the meeting of the Municipal Council on Monday night, which received characteristic popular assembly with the massive presence of residents, the framework of the mobilizations was supported by all the Bodies of Thesprotia Prefecture, according to epiruspost.gr.

On Tuesday, the schools were closed to Filiates with decisions of the Parents and Guardians’ Associations and a course was made.

Next Thursday, the Filiates City Hall closes and together with the Town Hall in Igoumenitsa and Paramythia. All three municipalities in the county will be shutdown. On the same day at ten in the morning, a protest will be held in the Filiates.

On Tuesday, February 11th, the port of Igoumenitsa and Egnatia Road will be excluded. The exact time and duration will be known in the coming days.

On Friday, February 14th, the mobilizations are transferred to Athens. The Filiates will hire buses for the movement of residents and, along with the Pan -Epirus, the Brotherhoods and the expatriates, the Akrites make an appointment outside the Pentagon. The Ministry of National Defense will be demonstrated by demanding the stay of the camp, the only one in the prefecture of Thesprotia and its borders with Albania.
