Dawn with two earthquakes over 4 Richter in 5 minutes – meeting at 13:00 in Civil Protection under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis
Alarm has been sounded to scientists for seismic sequence between Santorini– Amorgouwith the people who have left the first to be about 11,000. The seismic risk committee is currently meeting again.
According to the Geodynamic Institute, a total of 10 seismic vibrations were recorded from 8 to 9am, with the strongest being 4 Richter, 12 kilometers south of Amorgos.
Three seismic vibrations of size 4.3; 4 and 4 scale Richter recorded during the night-in reverse chronological order at 04:21, 04:16 and 01: 50-in the maritime space from 18 to 24 kilometers south-southwest Amorgou.
All three earthquakes are characterized by ‘patients’ by Geodynamic Institute of National Observatory of Athenswhile several even smaller vibrations have followed.
Yesterday’s announcement Interdisciplinary Risk and Crisis Management Committee of National and Kapodistrian University (NCSR)pointed out that in her volcanic complex Santorini “Over 2,500” seismic vibrations have been recorded by June and even that “the image of the seismic activity is not excluded from having attractive sequences”.
