The administration of the Athens Chamber of Commerce, led by President Yiannis Hadjitododosiou, has decided to offer 5,000 euros to each worker of the Chamber who has a child, and even from the first child.

This initiative- which has already begun to become a practice- is part of the chamber’s efforts to help address the critical demographic problem facing the country.

As the Chamber said in a statement: “The birth and aging of the population create serious challenges for the country’s development and insurance system, and the Athens Chamber of Commerce wants to support new families to help reverses these trends. We must not forget that according to experts’ estimates, the population of Greece can be reduced below 8 million by 2050.

As part of its multifaceted support of its human resources, the Chamber also plans Health Insurance Team Program for employees, while covering the cost of postgraduate programs for employees each year.

This reinforcement does not stop there. Every year, for the Christmas and Easterthe employees of the Chamber receive gift vouchers that almost reach the height of two wages – A significant financial relief for themselves and their families.

Initiatives such as these can act as a standard for other chambers, but also for businesses. By investing in human resources, we help not only workers but also society in general, while helping to safeguard the country’s demographic future. ”
