A problem of more than fifty years, that of the water supply of Mandra settlements, which have so far been covered by aquifer vehicles, is heading towards its solution.
Work on the construction of the water supply pipeline has begun and with the completion the need for water, both for residents and visitors, will definitely meet.
Specifically, it concerns the water supply of the settlements of Agia Sotiras, Paleochori, Paleo -Kyritoura, Prophet Elias, Agioi Anargyroi, and the area around the Elderly Care Unit “PEOX Panagia Faneromeni”.
“With coordinated actions, we accomplish a great goal of solving all chronic water problems. Our municipal authority is prioritized by projects, which improve the daily lives of our citizens, both in our central tissues and in our settlements, “said Mandra-Edilia, responsible Drikos and added:
“Water, as a natural good, must be accessible, equal to everyone and yet for fifty whole years the water supply needs of the houses around Mandra are covered by water vehicles. We take every financial opportunity to create added value to our country, which enters a new era and can be optimistic by looking forward to rural and tourism development. “
As Mr Drikos said, the project budget is EUR 1,000,000 and is funded by the recovery and resilience fund.
