Continue to support creative ideas of civil society organizations – public invitation for the 8th cycle of program
Dogs – mediators in therapeutic missions in centers of unaccompanied children and adolescents. The first digital character with a visual disability on social media. Supporting vulnerable students attending night schools with prosecutors. A botanical garden in Sikinos. Cinema workshops in special schools in Lemnos for students with developmental disorders.
These are just 5 of the 191 great ideas that have become a practice in the framework of the “Support Points” program, benefiting more than 104,000 of our fellow humans. In the 8th financial cycle of the “Support Points” program, which is being announced today, ten Greek public institutions are re -joining forces to continue to support the creative ideas of civil society organizations.
The “Support Points” program is aimed at small civil society organizations in Greece, which it supports in the implementation of small -scale original actions and maximum social impact, to strengthen their structures, as well as the development of abilities that will contribute to their viability. The program has coordinated the Bodosaki Foundation since 2022.
For the new cycle of the program, Ioannis S. Latsis, the Bodosaki Foundation, the Captain Vasilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, the AG Leventis Foundation, the AG La M. Lemos Foundation, The Hellenic Initiative Canada, the Athena I. Martinou Foundation and the Helidoni Foundation.
As part of the 8th cycle of the program, up to 33 actions will be reinforced by the sum of ten thousand euros each, which will last up to 8 months and will fall into one of the following thematic modules specified by the funders of the program:
I. Social integration of people with disabilities (John S. Latsis’ Public Benefit Foundation)
Ii. Support of third -age people (Public Benefit Foundation)
Iii. Child and Health (Captain Vasilis & Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation)
Iv. Combat Poverty and Food Crisis (The Hellenic Initiative Canada)
V. environmental protection
i. Protection of flora and fauna in the urban and suburban environment (AG Foundation)
ii. Protection of water ecosystems: seas, lakes, rivers and wetlands (Athanasios K. Laskaridis Foundation)
iii. Protection of forest and other land ecosystems (Costas M. Lemos Foundation)
Vi. Strengthening island and other coastal local communities (Athena I. Martinou Foundation)
VII. Sustainable cities and communities (Helidoni Foundation)
In addition to the funding, the program includes free involvement of organizations in capacity building, which will be funded and implemented by Social Dynamo, the NGO Hub of the Bodosaki Foundation.
Interested organizations can submit their applications by April 30, 2025 (at 15.00). The results will be announced in July 2025.
