The tear, the new bar in the Renata building, in downtown São Paulo, bets on music, but refuses the Listening Bar Pecha – that designates bars that hire DJs to compose the soundtracks or play.

Rafael Capobianco, one of the partners, says the idea is to be intimate, allowing two people to talk without the music to draw more attention than the cocktails of mixologists Gunter Sarfert and Ciro Tupinambá.

Tupinambá has already passed the command of the Bars Trago and Es.Trago, in Barra Funda, and today is executive chef of bars of the Renata Group. Sarfert says they planned the letter to follow a gradation, going from the least alcoholic to the heaviest cocktail.

The image shows a glass with a cocktail containing ice and green leaves, positioned on a discourse. The disc is visible, with a white label and black details. The background is dark, highlighting the glass and sound equipment.

At first is the wave rider, composed of a mixture of rum, bourbon, almond syrup, orange liqueur, pineapple, lemon and gas water. Among the intermediaries stand out the chordra (R $ 55), made with rum, gin, jerez, grapefruit juice and luxardo bianco, and the am martíni (R $ 50), a coffee -based drink with cachaça, liqueur coffee and coconut.

The favorites of Sarfert and Tupinambá are the last of the menu, the most alcoholics. Yokai (R $ 60) mixes bourbon, noisette butter, Amaro, Jerez, Umeboshi and Cynar 70, while Wabi Sabi (R $ 66), last on the list, takes Brandy, almond syrup, Jerez, Laphroaig whiskey and Angostura.

The decoration is signed by designer Aline Prado, who used desks of works to form the tear environment.

“The wooden floor came from many other buildings and the luminaire’s glass coating had left from another renovation,” explains Prado. The space that accommodates up to 20 people is all covered by curtains that help prevent the bar’s sound leakage to the other environments of the building and also isolates the home of the center’s noise.
