Targeted operational action to combat drug trafficking in the area of ​​Agia Varvara, organized and implemented on Tuesday (11/2) by the Drug Prosecution Division of the Organized Crime Management Directorate

During the operation, which was carried out with the assistance of the Department of Operational Actions of DAOE. and a specially trained police dog detection dog, a total of 8 men were arrested for – where appropriate – possession and trafficking of drugs.

According to ELAS, it was preceded by an appropriate use of information, from the analysis of which the action of people, which after pre -established meetings emerged. They were moving cannabis and cocaine in the wider area of ​​Agia Varvara. In fact, in the operation, in three different cases, 4 people were immobilized and arrested, who had previously been supplied by drugs from houses where trafficking was made.

They were then arrested four People – suppliers, while in their home surveys were found in addition quantities of hemp, cocaine and boiled cocainewhich they possessed for further trafficking.

Overall, from the investigations carried out, they found and seized:

  • 72.2 grams of raw cannabis,
  • 0.5 grams of cocaine,
  • 0.4 grams of boiled cocaine,
  • 356 euros,
  • mobile,
  • precision electronic scales and
  • Complete image recording system consisting of 4 security cameras, recorder and TV.

The detainees, who, on a case -by -case basis, have been concerned with the authorities for similar and other offenses, were taken to the competent prosecutor with the case file against them.
