Following a relevant Order of the Athens Prosecutor’s Office, the identity details and photos of the kidnappers of businessman George Kyparissis were made public.
The three defendants are facing a series of crimes, such as kidnapping, extortion, robbery, etc., which according to the indictment against them, concern the action of a criminal organization that they had established.
According to the case file, the leader of the organization is said to be one of the two male defendants, 34 years old, who allegedly claimed to have located the businessman from his posts on social media, from which he realized that he was financially strong.
Before the investigator, both the 34-year-old and the other man involved in the case, a 41-year-old man, allegedly admitted their involvement in the abduction of Mr. Cypress.
On the contrary, their co-accused, 39 years old, seems to have denied what is being attributed to her, claiming that it has nothing to do with the abduction.
Mr. Kyparissis remained in the hands of his captors for 65 days after his relatives paid the perpetrators an amount of 800 thousand euros.
