A total of -19 – people were arrested for participating in a clash between fans of the same team, in the context of yesterday’s football match in OAKA, by the Directorate for Organized Sports Violence of the Organized Crime Management.

They were charged with – as a case -by -case – of violence against officials, disturbance of common peace, clash, attempted dangerous bodily harm and violations of weapons, sports and flares laws, while an unknown perpetrator was charged with attempted attempts.

In particular, afternoon yesterday, about 100 fans of sports team in the surrounding area of ​​OAKA. -Some have covered their features with helmets and full face-, they found -30-other fans of the same team, who came to the scene, and exposed the use of flares, followed by a clash between them.

Subsequently, as noted in the announcement, “Immediate squads of the Attica Police Operations Directorate, which were executing measures in view of the football match, using the necessary appropriate means, attempted to break the crowd and stop them, with people resisting.”

Police, however, managed to immobilize and arrest -13 -, including a sharp -wounded object, which provided first aid by the police, while with EKAB station. was transported to a hospital.

Subsequently, police officers from the DIAS team. They conducted searches in the areas around the OAKA, resulting in the finding and still immobilized -6 -people who were also arrested.

From the on -the -spot surveys, the following were found and seized:

  • 170cm plastic tube,
  • bone gloves,

Police officers from the Department of Special Investigations seized filmmaking material from the Electronic Sports Installation System, while the seized will be sent to the Forensic Research Department for laboratory examination.

The detainees were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
