Both teams missed at the start of the second period, remaining without a basket for 2.5 minutes, before Chalbouris hit for 22-18. THE Lewis with consecutive baskets he reached double digits and brought Panionios back to +6 (26-20), Papas “wrote” his three-pointer to 29-23, while then Trento got closer to the point (31-30). However, the hosts continued to find solutions offensively, with Kreuzer and Tsalbouris making it 39-33 and with Papas hitting a three-pointer with the end, for 42-35 of the first half.

The Italians got closer to 44-40 in the first minutes of the third period, but Panionios again found a rhythm on both sides of the floor and with his star Watsonled for the first time in the match with a double-digit difference (50-40), while Lewis made it 53-42 with a three-pointer. Steward with a basket-foul and Yogela with a three-pointer reduced it to 55-48, but the home team did not lose their composure and closed the quarter with a lead of 72-63.

The fourth period started with Panionios leading 76-68, but Trento came close again, 76-73, before Kreuzer and Yogela hit back-to-back 3-pointers to make it 79-78. Watson reached 20 personal points for 81-78, while Jones reduced to a point (84-83), before Magwebe put Trento ahead 87-84. With 4 minutes left to go, the referee of the match, Hussain Celik, was injured by Cruiser and the game continued with two referees, after a short stoppage! Gikas’ big three-pointer tied the game at 87-87, but Jones made it 87-89 with 29 minutes to go, and in the next phase, Watson drew an offensive foul and Jones made the shots for the final. 87-91.
