It is extended until March 31, 2025, by decision of the Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, the submission of applications, for four energy upgrading programs announced at the beginning of the year.
The Ministry of the Environment and Energy, as stated in its announcement, has made this horizontal extension for the four programs, with the aim of facilitating the beneficiaries in the effort to collect and properly submit the required supporting documents provided for programs.
In particular, the programs totaling € 213.3 million include:
Athena (37.2 million euros)
The program concerns the improvement of the energy efficiency of kindergarten and elementary schools in the entire territory.
Beneficiaries of aid are first -degree OTAs, as well as the Legal Entities of Public Law (NPAs), operating elementary schools and kindergartens.
Interventions are covered, inter alia, to the energy used for technical systems (eg for heating, cooling), as well as in susceptible parts of the building, which allow thermal losses (eg windows, ceilings, and .t.).
Applications are submitted through the program’s online platform.
Phoebe (12.4 million euros)
The program concerns the improvement of the energy efficiency of municipal nursery, nurseries and kindergartens throughout the territory.
Beneficiaries of aid are first -degree OTAs, as well as their LPDs, which operate municipal nurseries, kindergartens and kindergartens.
Improvement of energy efficiency is associated with interventions in the shell of buildings and their technical systems (eg thermal insulation of opaque elements and waterproofing ceilings, replacement of transparent elements such as frames and glazing, heat pump installation, etc.).
Applications are submitted by stakeholders through the program’s electronic platform.
– Improving energy efficiency of mountainous tourist accommodation (EUR 10 million)
The program relates to the energy upgrading of mountainous, tourist accommodation. 10% of its budget will be allocated exclusively to traditional-registered buildings (EUR 1 million) and 90% (EUR 9 million) in all other mountainous tourist buildings.
Expenditure on the implementation of energy upgrades, as well as support costs, such as services, which are necessary for the submission, monitoring and checking of the application, are covered.
Applications are submitted through the program’s online platform.
Business storage systems (EUR 153.7 million)
The program grants businesses, regardless of size and industry, for installing storage systems (battery) in designed photovoltaic systems or to install storage (battery) systems in existing, active photovoltaic systems.
In both cases, the storage system is subsidized exclusively.
In addition to the extension, especially in this program the following terms are also modified:
– The requirement to activate the connection of the station (electricity) until the investment is completed. Purchase and installation of the relevant equipment (storage system) is now sufficient to complete the investment.
It is noted that in the event of non -investment in investment, the cost of “Cost of Liaison with HEDNO/ADMIE” is not subsidized.
– The requirement for the submission of connection terms in the latest up to 2 months after the approval decision is changed to up to 4 months.
The above requirement is a prerequisite for a down payment of up to 40% to the program.
At the same time, the forthcoming legislation will ensure the commitment of electricity to each investment at the level of the respective substitute.
Applications are submitted through the program’s online platform.
In addition, in the program “Promoting Energy Efficiency in Municipal Water and Sewerage (DEYA)” The subsidy rate increases from 60% to 80% of the value (without VAT) of eligible expenses. The aim is to give a reinforced incentive to DEYA to implement energy saving and infrastructure upgrades, while ensuring their sustainable and efficient operation for the benefit of local communities.
