Students support the Greek people for the tragedy in Tempi, organizing an event outside the Greek Embassy in Belgrade
Sympathy for the Greek people for the tragedy in Tempe are organized tomorrow by Serbian students outside the Greek Embassy in Belgrade.
In a statement published in the official profile of student mobilizations on Instagram, students call a rally in front of the embassy with the slogan “Your struggle is also ours!”
The students’ call states: “It is important to be together at these times so we invite you to a rally on February 28, on the second anniversary of the tragedy, in front of the Embassy of Greece, at 11:45 pm, to pay tribute to the victims and to show our solidarity.”
It is noted that students in Serbia have been demonstrating for three months calling for responsibility for the tragedy in Novi Sad where on the first of November 2024 the concrete cornice collapsed at the train station causing the deaths of 15 people. The tragedy occurred three months after the renovation of the station was completed. Students denounce corruption and opacity in the implementation of public works and call for all the evidence of the reconstruction of the Railway Station in Novi Sad.
