Snow has started to fall for some time in areas of Attica.

The cold was particularly noticeable in the early afternoon and now the first snowflakes have fallen.

Specifically, snowfalls are observed in areas such as Glyka Nera and Gerakas.

The snowfall is in any case weak and is observed in the northern and eastern suburbs, indicatively in areas such as Drosia, Stamata, Kryoneri but also north of them. In any case, the drop in temperature is significant throughout Athens.

EMY had warned that from the afternoon there was a possibility of light rains, and in the evening it is expected to snow in Parnitha.

The winds will blow northeast 5 to 7 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 2 to 8 degrees Celsius.

For tomorrow, March 20, in western and northern Greece, temporarily increased clouds are forecast with temporary snowfall in western Macedonia.

In the rest of the country, local rains or sleet are forecast, snowfalls of moderate intensity in the mountains and semi-mountains as well as in areas in the central regions with lower altitudes.

The winds will blow northeast 5 to 7 and in the Aegean locally 8 beauforts.

The temperature will remain at low levels for the season and its maximum value will not exceed in the central and northern 08 to 09 degrees and in the remaining 10 to 12 degrees Celsius.
In the morning and evening hours on the mainland there will be frost, which in the north will be strong in places.
