The Evivlio Digital Library offers free access to 20 literary works in sound form – the recordings were carried out with the help of 12 well -known Greek artists
The Evivlio Digital Library of the Ministry of Education, Religions and Sports, which offers free access to 20 literary works in sound form, was put into operation today, through the website evivlio.gov.gr and applications for Android and iOS.
In particular, in all classes, from kindergarten to 3rd grade, the reading of whole literary works of leading Greeks/Greek and foreign writers, as well as the Homeric Epins (Odyssey) instead of unimaginable excerpts as it was until today, is introduced. Hearing or reading these works, offers pupils and students a more meaningful connection to the text, expands their imagination and further cultivates critical thinking and love for the book. The recordings of all the works are original and were made specifically for the application of the CAA, with the valuable and unobtrusive assistance of 12 well -known Greek artists.
Evivlio, as it was announced, are introduced, as announced, 20 literary books, and will be distributed in print and school units so that pupils have both options.
“The books were chosen on the basis of their pedagogical value and on the extra criterion the absence of copyright to their creators. This allows them to be immediately available to pupils and students as well as teachers and teachers, “the ministry said.
At the same time, as the Ministry has informed, the process of informing and training teachers about how to use and use printed books and the new digital library will evolve to enrich the learning process.
