What roads are gradually closed – from 08:00 the “Syntagma” station will not operate – preceded wreaths at the unknown soldier’s monument
Smiling faces, traditional costumes and families were found in the center of parade for the March 25th in the center of Athens., which took place today Monday (24/3).
The student parade took place in front of the monument of the unknown soldier, and the wreaths were preceded by political and military leadership. Tomorrow, the established military parade will take place in downtown Athens.
Traffic Settings – What roads are closed
Traffic regulations have come into force today in downtown Athens during the Student Parade for the March 25th anniversary.
There is also a temporary and gradual discontinuation of vehicles from 10:00 until the end of the events, as well as a ban on their parking stops, from 06:00 until the end of the parade at the below avenues and roads, as follows:
- Avenue Vas. Amaliathroughout its length in both (2) traffic streams, as well as on the perpendicular to the first parallel road
- Bas. Sofia Avenuein the section between Sekeri Street and Vas. Amalia Avenue, in the traffic to Pl. Constitution
- Vas. Georgiou I.all along
- El. Venizelos (University)throughout its length and perpendicular to the first parallel road
- Bas. Olga Avenue, across its length in both (2) traffic streams
- Syngrou Avenuein the section between the streets of Ath. Constitution.
In addition, ELAS notes that on Tuesday 25-3-2025 student parades will be held in Municipalities of Attica in which traffic will take the necessary traffic measures.
ELAS appeals to drivers for their better service and avoiding additional traffic problems, to avoid passing and parking their vehicles on the above roads and avenues at the time reported and to follow the signals and suggestions of the regulators.
