There are six brand new 9 meters buses on the streets of Thessaloniki today, 26, purchased by OASTH to serve areas with special relief, where classic, 12 meter buses find it difficult to move.

These are thermal (diesel) MIDI buses accessible to people with disabilities, which was purchased by OASTH with the leasing method.

So as of today Friday, March 28th, Line 16 operating the Evangelistria – Historic Center route is served by six new buses with which complete and seamless service is expected, without the problems of the past.

On the new buses, the President and CEO of OASTH Costas Tagiris, who boarded a bus on the line, was… podariko. He was satisfied as he found their own functionality and comfort they offer to passengers.

“OASTH continues, at a rapid pace, the renewal of its fleet and the upgrading of the services it provides to the passenger public,” Mr Tangiris said.

He announced that next Tuesday, April 1st, seven more new 9 meters of buses will be released, which will be launched on line 15, operating 40 churches – a historic center, while the remaining 13 buses will be available until April 15, on various buses.

“At the end of this process, OASTH will travel daily on the streets of Thessaloniki a total of 151 new buses, with a total of about 300 on a daily basis, which accounts for 50% of its fleet. We are not resting. We continue to work uninterruptedly to improve the services provided to the passenger public, “Mr Tangiris concluded.
