The unmistakable and rich natural environment of the Municipality of Pogoni was chosen by director and producer Vasilis Mazomenos for the shooting of the new film “Endless Land”.

It is a dramatic film that tells a story deeply rooted in the place and people of Epirus. Against the backdrop of the wild and unexplored beauty of the area, the film captures the difficulties, dreams and hopes of its inhabitants, while highlighting the unique cultural identity of the area.

With the film “Endless Earth”, Pogoni enters the map of cinema and emerges as a destination capable of hosting quality productions that honor Greek and international cinema.

The shooting took place entirely in Epirus, mainly in the villages of Pogoni, with the valuable support of the municipal authority and the presidents of the villages.

The contribution of the local community has been decisive, as local professionals also worked in production, while most of the actors come from Ioannina, giving the film an authenticity that is rarely found.

The film, created with the support of the Greek Film Center, ERT and the Epirus Region, comes to highlight the unique natural and cultural landscape of Pogoni, conveying the authentic beauty of our area to the big screen.

Epirus, and in particular Pogoni, are an unparalleled aesthetic and historical depth. The picturesque bridges, the rivers, the mountain landscapes and our traditional villages create a cinematic setting that captures the authenticity of the Greek countryside. Through the film, the director attempts to render the soul of this place, focusing on his natural beauties and the people who keep him alive.

The Municipality of Pogoniou, in his announcement, thanks Mr. Mazamomeni and the whole team for the selection and addresses an open invitation “to film and television productions, looking for an authentic, unexplored and enchanting landscape for their shooting. Our natural locations, coupled with the support of local government, make the area ideal for producing film works, ”he concludes.
