From the explosion at the Hellenic Train offices, there were only material damage – the company’s announcement – condemns the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport

At about 3:30 on Saturday morning, vehicles were restored on the streets around the offices of the Hellenic Train on Syngrou Avenue, which remained excluded for many hours after a bomb explosion earlier.
Men of forensic investigations and the explosive mechanisms department were found at the spot and collected explosive residues to transfer them to the Special ELAS laboratories in order to give a first response to its connection.
According to police sources in the backpack, another explosive mechanism was installed that exploded the dawn of February 3 at the Stadium near the Labor Ministry and a phone call had been preceded by then.
So far, the same sources say that the mechanism that exploded today, which was in a backpack, is unknown connection and power.

The Hellenic Train confirms that earlier this evening there was an explosion within walking distance of its headquarters on Syngrou Avenue.
The incident caused limited material damage, without any injuries – neither among the company employees nor among passing citizens.
A warning call had been preceded by the ESIEA offices and the competent authorities were immediately mobilized, taking all the necessary actions.
Hellenic Train has worked with the authorities from the first moment.
At the same time, it takes all necessary measures to preserve the safety of its employees.
Our company unequivocally condemns any form of violence and tensions that trigger a climate of toxicity that undermines any progress.

The political leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport condemns the bomb attack on the offices of the Hellenic Train, which fortunately caused no injuries, except for minor material damage.

Deputy Minister of Transport Mr. Konstantinos Kiranakis said: “Today’s attack on Hellenic Train headquarters is an act of violence that cannot and should not have a place in a democratic society.

Today, Friday, April 11, 2025 at 20:53, an unknown call to the Editors’ Journal and the zougla.gr website about the installation of an explosive device at the Hellenic Train offices on Syngrou Avenue, giving 35-40 minutes.
