With the joyous beats from the bells of the Temple of the Resurrection in Jerusalem, the faithful welcomed the Holy Light that lit up in the Holy Sepulcher.
The Patriarch of Jerusalem came out of the canopy of the Holy Sepulcher with the torches lit, giving the Holy Light to the concentrated who solemnly welcomed it with applause and jokes holding their candles.

According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, the arrival of the Holy Light at Athens Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” is expected at around 19:00 and then its distribution will be distributed across the country.
In addition to Mr Loverdou, the MP Maximos Harakopoulos as a representative of the House and head of the Inter -Parliamentary Assembly of Orthodoxy, His Eminence Metropolitan Grevena David and the Exarchate of Davidos, are involved in the mission.
