The European Union (EU) announced today, at the “Our Ocean” conference in Busan, Korea, funding of EUR 301,485,000 from EU funds for actions in the areas of sustainable blue economy, maritime pollution, marine protected areas, digital areas, Climate change.
This year’s conference, which is the tenth, will present achievements and best practices as evidenced by the voluntary commitments made by the global ocean community in the last decade. As part of the “digital ocean”, the Conference will explore the intersection point between technology and the maintenance of the oceans, emphasizing the six critical areas mentioned above.
The EU, which has been supporting the “Our Ocean” conference for years, remains committed to protecting the oceans and promoting a healthier and more sustainable marine ecosystem.
