If you have a striking feature in meals in the Arab countries is the pleasure of sharing them in groups. Entering the Zain restaurant in Tatuapé and faces more tables that hold classes than couples already signal the vocation of the house. See the sizes of portions as well.

Some of the specialties served have details to get it right, but do not prevent a good experience. These are flaws that seem to be there in an attempt to adapt the preparations to the taste of those who are not familiar with the cuisine of the Middle East.

A plate with a portion of Baklava, which is a sweet puff stuffed with pistachios and nuts, next to a pistachio ice cream ball, sprinkled with chopped pistachios. The dish is decorated with a blue and white pattern.

In the trio of folders (R $ 79.90) this movement is clear. The Homus is good, but feels a lot of garlic and little Tahini. Babaganoush is pleasant, but without the smoked touch of when eggplants are toasted straight into the fire. And the curd comes in the right texture, but with little acidity.

The grape leaf cigar (R $ 69.90) also comes fed up. On the day of the visit, texture was lacking in the leaves that hold the delicious filling of meat and rice. Too cooked, they crumbled very quickly in the mouth.
Individual portions turn out to be a more attractive alternative for those who don’t want to ask for the entrances – too big and too big. But in this case, the options for snacking are more restricted. Little besides Kibe (R $ 16.90), Salad (R $ 32 to Fatouche) and Caftas (R $ 49.90 the beef).

If the idea is going to make a complete meal, better go straight on a plate – who gives two. Lamb (R $ 219) comes with Syrian rice, chips, curd with cucumber, salad and bread. The meat was good, with a pleasant smoked. Missed to deliver more to the taste of the spices.

For a snack, it is worth combining a salad with Arals (R $ 49,90). The meat is always red, but you can choose the point of bread – more or less crispy.

To sweeten, Baklava (R $ 36,90), pasta jam with pistachio abundance, quietly serves two people.

If the visit is with family or animated friends, go on Tuesdays at night. This is when dancers and dancers make typical performances. And get ready: not rarely, they take some customers to dance.

For a good experience, opt for the classics

Avoid extravagances such as the kebab cup (R $ 47), with curd and apricot jelly, and the figs of fig with cheese, mint and orange flower syrup (R $ 24) and orange jelly with pepperoni pepper (R $ 19.90). Prefer to be among the conventional ones, such as the good meat esfiha ($ 17).
